Thanks
for the Great Winter Season!
The crappie bite is still spotty. On good nights we seeing 4
to 6 crappies per night in a house. But it has been hit or
miss. Hopefully once the snow starts to melt there's be some
more darker area on the ice. The dark ice always seems to
concentrate the crappies. The walleyes have almost been a
pest lately. While the season has long since closed, they
can't seem to leave the crappie baits alone. No matter how
small a presentation you're using. The best crappie baits
have been the smaller glow jigs tipped with a small minnow.
Anything larger invites an unwanted walleye right now.
There's still some time left!
Interested in catching a few of those legendary Red Lake
crappies? Well there's still a few weeks left in the ice
fishing season. March has been historically one of the
better months for slab crappies on Red Lake and this season
should be just as good. Give us a call and
check out our mid week
rates on ice houses.
More Guest Reports, and their picture, yet to come!
Stay tuned and
Good Fishing!
